APAM (Association of Professionals and Friends of Music), was born after the realization of the I Edition of the International Piano Competition "Villa de Xabia". It is precisely the tremendous effort made by its creator and artistic director Natividad Ballarín, to carry it out (altruistically and with a successful result) that inspires a group of people to be able to create an Association that can help take this Contest to the next level.

All the members of APAM, coming or not from the musical world, if they have the same common idea: THE IMPORTANCE OF MUSIC IN EDUCATION, for that reason in addition to carrying out the organization of the following editions of the C.I.P. "Villa de Xábia" has as main objectives:

· The organization of Festivals and / or National and / or International Music Contests

· The promotion of music

· Music education

Which will be achieved through the development of the activities that appear below:

· Organization of International Piano Competitions, at least on an annual basis.

· Masterclass coordination

· Music education courses for groups of children, youth and adults.

· Concert Concerts

It is especially emotional and meaningful to be able to carry out this project and activities in Xábia, a place chosen by many of us as a new home, with which to create something that could have a favorable impact on a locality that has welcomed us with open arms ( not only cultural, but also economic), can not give us more satisfaction.

APAM is an NON-PROFIT Association and all its funds come from the Sponsors, Associates and fundraising obtained in events, destined to the prizes of C.I.P. "Villa de Xabia" and to the organization of the other activities indicated above.

For this reason we deeply appreciate all those who have been with us since the first moment, trusting in our project. We also welcome anyone who wants to help, in any way, because any help, however small it may seem, will be a granite that, added to the others, will make it possible to keep this dream alive.
